14 Day-the pride of Botswana

It is a small tour group, with Max 8 people on the Tour. Travel from JHB to Thabana and on to Phofu in the central Kalahari in Botswana. Visit the Okavango, The Savuti and Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This tour is a tourist paradise and often referred to as "The best of Africa in one tour". Travel from JHB to the Phofu in Central Botswana. Interact with the Bushmen's at Ghanzi. Visit the biggest inland delta in the world, the Okavango Delta. Then to Savuti, The Savuti area borders the Delta to the west and Chobe National Park to the east and is one of Africa's best known big game areas. Savuti is a place of enchantment, of beauty, and boasts one of the greatest concentrations of animals in Southern Africa. Savuti is famous for its predators, especially its resident lion and spotted hyena populations. go for game drives and a boat ride. All this and more on this exciting tour.
Day 0
Meet & GreetDay 1:
Johannesburg to Thabana Safari LodgeWe pick you up just after breakfast at 08:00 and start by leaving the cement Jungle of Johannesburg behind and work our way to the Northwest Province of South Africa. We stop en-route for Lunch(own expense) From hear we continue to our lodge where we booked in and go on our first open vehicle game drive. (Dinner)
Day 2:
From Thabana to Central Kalahari Botswana.As the day breaks, we have some breakfast and leave as early as possible for the border between South Africa and Botswana. After crossing the border we headed for Jwaneng( a small diamond town of the De Beers Company)where we stop en-route for Lunch ( own expense). From here we continue to Kang and to our lodge north of Kang. We booked in and relax around the swimming pool before Dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Stay at Phofu LodgeDay 4:
'Phofu to GhanziDay 5:
GrasslandBreakfast at 07:00 and then we meet the Bushmen of the Kalahari. Real-life activities include looking for food and medicines amongst the many different types of plants and trees that grow in the region (and you will be astounded by the wealth of resources around you at any one time). The Bushmen will show you how they hunt meat, make fire, prepare their food and build their nomadic homes. They will also show you some of their interesting past-times and cultural games. which all have benefits towards maintaining fitness and health or improving essential skills. A highlight is to see the bushmen perform one of the many story-telling ceremonial dances. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6:
Grassland to MaunWe say Good bay to our Bushman friends and leaving just after breakfast for Maun, that is on the outskirts of the Okavango Delta. Maun is a town on the Thamalakane River in northern Botswana. It's the jumping-off point for the vast inland Okavango Delta, which becomes a lush wildlife habitat during the seasonal floods. In the delta, safari camps dot the Moremi Game Reserve, which is home to hippos, lions, and rhinos. In the town, the Nhabe Museum features local art, plus history and culture exhibits about the surrounding Ngamiland region. For those who want to, can take a flight over the Delta or do some game viewing on Horseback(Optional) Later we be brief about the next few days activities. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 7:
Into the Okavango DeltaWe have breakfast early and leaving sort after that to go into the Okavango Delta and up to Chiefs Island. We do a short hike on the Island and see how many Mammals we can spot. Chief’s Island is one of the largest islands in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Chief's Island areas are surrounded by an abundance of wildlife ensuring plenty of opportunities for game-viewing. You will find large herds of elephant, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, lion, and hippo plus many more species of wildlife all over the whole of Chiefs Island. We have a Lunch pic-nick on the Island. We return that night in time for Dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8:
Maun to Moremi Game ReserveWe leaving early for Moremi in an open Vehicle, and explore one of the best places in Botswana. A striking number of wildlife species, birdlife and a diverse landscape; combining mopane woodland, floodplains, fairytales like lagoons, papyrus rivers, and acacia forests. There is no other place in Africa where so many ecosystems seamlessly coalesce. The Moremi is home to the most endangered species of large mammals: the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog, and lion. Over 500 bird species (from water birds to forest dwellers) and over a 1.000 species of plants are also recognized in the Moremi. This ecosystem is amongst the richest in Africa. And thanks to effective protection, the flora and fauna are relatively undisturbed. We put up camp in the Moremi.
Day 9:
Moremi to SavutiAt daybreak, we leaving our camp and explore one of the best animals places in Africa. The game-viewing can be exceptional, and the wide variety of activities make this an area not be missed. Linyanti hosts large herds of buffalo, zebra, and elephant. Because this area is a private game reserve, the vehicle concentrations are very low and the wilderness experience is one of the best in Africa. This is a photographer dream places. We put our camp up at Savuti Camp.
Day 10:
Explore SavutiWe continue exploring the Savuti. The Savuti area borders the Delta to the west and Chobe National Park to the east and is one of Africa's best-known big game areas. Savuti is a place of enchantment, of beauty, and boasts one of the greatest concentrations of animals in Southern Africa. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
