10 - DAY OKAVANGO DELTA CAMPING TRIP

We go wildlife-spotting with your small group and expert guides along the river at Chobe National Park, home to the world's highest concentration of African elephants. Camping on a remote island in the heart of the Okavango wilderness is an experience you’ll never forget. As the sun sets and night falls, the sounds of Africa come alive. Your first glimpse of the thundering Victoria Falls is undeniably captivating. With additional time for optional adventures, you’ll get to view the waterfalls from all angles!
We start in Maun, Botswana, and explore the best wildlife spotting you will get in the Okavango Delta, Moremi game reserve, and Chobe before we visit one of the seven wonders of the world, Victoria Falls also known as the mega adventure capital of the world.
Itinerary
Day 0 - Meet & Greet.
MaunDay 1- Into the Okavango Delta
Into the Okavango DeltaToday, we jumping aboard a traditional mokoro – a dugout canoe steered by friendly local 'polers' – for an Okavango waterways experience. With some luck, we could spot some of the delta's unusual wildlife and exotic birdlife. Spend some time today exploring the maze of lagoons, lakes, and streams on foot too, led by experienced local guides. Tonight, we camp on a remote island right in the heart of the wilderness, falling asleep to the humming and buzzing of the African heartlands.
Day 2 - morning Hike in the Delta
Back to MaunWe watch the sun rise over the Delta on a short early morning hike, We have Breakfast and then get back to the Mogoro station on the Mokoros. The Afternoon is spent on our own leisure and optional activities. Like taking a flight over the delta, game viewing on horseback, or just exploring the town and marketplaces.
Day 3 - Visit the Moremi Game reserve.
Moremi Game ReserveWe have an early breakfast before we make it into the Moremi Reserve with an open-game vehicle. Moremi Game Reserve is in northern Botswana, in the Okavango Delta, which becomes a lush animal habitat during seasonal floods. Dugout canoes are used to navigate past birdlife, hippos, and crocodiles on waterways like the Xakanaxa Lagoon. On land, wildlife includes lions, leopards, and rhinos. Safari camps are common, with several dotted around large Chief's Island and the forested Mopane Tongue Peninsula. We overnight in the Moremi
Day 4 - Explore Moremi
Moremi back to MaunAt the Daybreak, we start to explore the Moremi. The Moremi is home to the most endangered species of large mammals: the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog, and lion. Over 500 bird species (from water birds to forest dwellers) and over 1.000 species of plants are also recognized in the Moremi. This ecosystem is amongst the richest in Africa. And thanks to effective protection, the flora and fauna is relatively undisturbed.
Day 5 - Moremi
Moremi back to MaunDay 6 - Elephant Sands
Maun to Elephant SandsWe say goodbye to the Okavango Delta and continue our trip to Nata where we booked in at Elephant Sands. At the natural water well in front of the lodge, you can see the elephants drink just a few meters away, a unique experience! There are no fences around the accommodation, so other wild animals also roam freely here. We visit the bird sanctuary at the Makgadikgadi saltpans.
Day 7 - Chobe Safari Lodge
Elephant Sands to ChobeWe enjoy Breakfast and say goodbye to Elephant Sand as we make our way to the North and put up our camp on the outskirts of the Chobe National Park. We have time to spend on our own leisure till 15h00. We can exchange some money or get some souvenirs. We then go on a Sunset boat trip on the Chobe River and into the Chobe National Park.
